Compensation Analyst

Responsible for wage and salary administration for the Home Office, Clubs and Distribution Centers, including but not limited to, counseling management on compensation policy and procedures; establishing new club wage plans; conducting and participating in wage and salary surveys; evaluating jobs, collecting competitive pay data and recommending salary grades; participating in major projects including annual exempt performance appraisal and annual club and distribution center hourly wage survey.  Will also perform additional tasks/responsibilities as assigned.

A minimum of 1 to 3 years experience in compensation, financial analysis and/or related Human Resources functions is required.  Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of management, outstanding customer service skills, excellent written verbal communication skills, and a proficiency in Excel and Word or similar software are required.  Candidate must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.  A college degree with a concentration in Human Resources, Mathematics, Finance or Business is desired.

Based in Natick, Massachusetts, the Manager of Compensation Design and Development is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining market competitive compensation plans and strategies for the entire organization. The Manager of Compensation will provide strategic management direction in the development, coordination and administration of the company’s compensation program to include the development, implementation and administration of the compensation plans including all pay and incentive plans. The position must ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, maintain the desired market position for BJ’s Wholesale Club, and strive to attract and retain outstanding talent.  Position will be responsible for the direction and management of the delivery of job classification services for all jobs, including: job analysis, job design and description documentation, job consolidation, and job evaluation.

The successful candidate must possess a minimum of six years experience in compensation development and design and management of compensation programs, including survey management and development of base pay programs; candidate must have working knowledge of Government and preferably multi-state regulations as they apply to compensation base and incentive compensation programs; company policies and operations.  Must have expert knowledge of Microsoft office products; candidate must have demonstrated exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization.   Bachelor’s degree in business administration or human resource management is strongly preferred or equivalent work experience. MBA and or CCP preferred.

Manager of Talent Acquisition- Field

The Manager of Talent Acquisition for the field will develop and execute Talent Acquisition strategy and practices to attract and retain talent in order to drive the field’s strategic business goals. This individual will act as a trusted business partner to senior and hiring management in order to anticipate needs and create and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy to build a strong pipeline of top talent for current and future openings. They are responsible for managing and executing all aspects of the recruitment process, from sourcing and attracting talent through extending offers for management positions in the field and distribution centers.  They will continually look for ways to maximize the efficiency of the hiring processes and talent acquisition lifecycle (including consistent policies and practices, where applicable) and collection/reporting of metrics. They will provide thought leadership, consultative support and project management for key Talent Acquisition initiatives such as building a strong pipeline of talent, selecting and implementing an applicant tracking system, executing on the employment branding strategy, new club openings and manager in training programs. This person will need to network and develop strong business relationships within the industry in order to identify new sources of talent and gather and implement best practices. Additionally, this individual will be responsible developing a flexible and adaptive field recruiting team that is able to quickly respond to the needs of the business and continuously improve processes and practices.  This team will leverage strong business acumen to effectively partner with hiring management to anticipate needs and identify top talent for the organization. Requires 8+ years experience in Human Resources with at least 3 years experience managing Talent Acquisition and Human Resources programs, processes, people and/or activity in a high volume multi-unit environment.  Experience in multiple Human Resources disciplines is highly desirable.  Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, communication, influencing and organizational skills are required.  Team management and development and strong process management skills are also essential.  BA/BS degree is highly desirable.

Manager of HR Labor Relations and Compliance

Supports the development of the Labor Strategy and leads the implementation of the labor plan across the chain. This includes assuring that managers are educated on how to maintain a union free environment preemptively, serving as a resource to the organization on HR related matters and providing expert advice and counsel to appropriately address labor and compliance matters. 

Responsible for developing and maintaining personnel policies and procedures that effectively drive intended organizational behavior/outcomes at Home Office, Distribution Centers and Clubs to ensure their compliance with all federal and state employment laws.

Develops processes to monitor personnel practices at the Home Office, Distribution Centers and Clubs to assure compliance with state and federal employment, wage and hour and labor laws. Develops and maintains mediums through which key policies, personnel practices, regulatory information and behavioral expectations are communicated to all Team Members. Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requires a minimum of 8 - 10 years experience in either human resources as a generalist with labor relations responsibility in a multi-unit environment in the retail or services industry.  Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Experience developing and implementing labor relations programs in a non-union environment is essential. Advanced degree preferred with a concentration in Human Resources or Employment Law. 30% travel may be required.

Senior Benefits Analyst

Administers Health, Dental, Life, 401(k), and other benefit programs in a manner that supports BJ’s culture and ensures policy and statutory compliance within the budgetary guidelines. Will also work on benefits design projects, manage vendor relationships, assist in evaluating and implementing new vendors when appropriate and serve as a technical resource on benefit issues.Additionally, the Sr. Benefits Analyst will; research and evaluate the effectiveness of all health and wellness programs and offerings aimed at attracting and retaining outstanding talent, assist with managing the Open Enrollment process, identify operational efficiencies and program cost savings, drive an outstanding customer experience, manage the daily administrative functions of the employee benefit programs and coordinate communications to employees. Additional tasks/responsibilities will be assigned as needed.

Minimum of 3 years of Benefits experience with a solid understanding of benefit plan principles, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA and other federal/state regulations related to benefits.Demonstrated knowledge of benefits terminology, plan design, claims resolution, and compliance required. Ability to understand benefit contract language, evaluate proposals (RFP’s), and to maintain employee confidentiality. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and customer relationship building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs. Familiar with PeopleSoft or a similar large scale Human Resources system. Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration or equivalent work experience required.

Senior Training & OD Specialist
