Heineken USA is recalling 12-ounce brown bottles used for certain batches of Carta Blanca and Dos Equis Ambar beer. Quality inspections revealed that the bottles have the potential for small grains or particles of glass to separate from the inside lip of the bottle and fall into the liquid.  The pieces may vary in size and may not be easily visible.

BJ’s Wholesale Club only sold the Dos Equis Ambar as part of a Beers of Mexico 24-pack, from March 22, 2012, through April 7, 2012.  BJ’s Wholesale Club only sold the affected products in Florida, Georgia, New Hampshire, New York, and Virginia. Members who purchased the affected product may bring back the receipt or the case of beer for a full refund.
