Spence & Co, manufacturer of Wellsley Farms and Spence & Co brand smoked salmon, is issuing a voluntary recall for the 8oz and 16oz Nova products due to a possible health risk.  Please click here to see the alert issued by Spence & Co in conjunction with the FDA.

Only a small percentage of the sold product is included in the recall.  If you have purchased the 16 oz product during the recalled dates between 07/14/12 and 8/21/12, you can determine if your product is one that is included by looking at the lot code for the number 6704701.  The lot code number is on a white sticker on either the front or back of the package. Click here to see an image of the lot code.  If you are still in possession of the product please do not consume it and dispose of it immediately.   Members who purchased the affected product may bring in the receipt for a full refund.  If you no longer have your receipt, the club at which you bought the product can look it up for you.

BJ’s sold the affected products in Florida, N. Carolina, Georgia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and *Virginia.
