09/01/12 - Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A., Inc. Voluntary Recalls Certain Fresh-cut Fruit Packages Due to Possible Salmonella Contamination
Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A., Inc. has issued a voluntary recall of a limited quantity of certain fresh-cut fruit packages containing mangoes distributed to numerous retail outlets, including BJ’s Wholesale Club. There is a potential risk that the recalled mangoes may be contaminated with Salmonella. Recalled items sold at BJ’s Wholesale Club include Del Monte Fresh Product Mango Spears & Fruit Bowls with the “Best By” date of 9/26/12 and 9/27/12. If you purchased mangoes at BJ’s Wholesale Club between 9/19/12 and 9/26/12 and you still have the product, please do not consume the fruit and dispose of it immediately. Be sure to wash hands thoroughly after handling the fruit. BJ’s Members who purchased the affected product may bring their receipt to their local Club for a full refund. If you no longer have your receipt, please visit the Member Services Desk in the Club. A representative will look up your receipt for you. If you have health concerns, please consult your physician.
