Bimbo Bakeries USA Issues Voluntary Recall For Six Thomas Bagel Styles
BJ’s Wholesale Club has been informed by Bimbo Bakeries USA – bakery that produces products for a variety of popular bakery brands -- that the company has issued a voluntary product recall for six Thomas’ bagel styles sold at BJ’s and other national retailers due to the possible presence of metal fragments from a faulty manufacturing part.
Bimbo Bakeries announced the recall after discovering metal fragments in two packages. No reports have been received from people who have purchased the bagels, and there are no reports of injury. All recalled products are being removed from store shelves.
WHAT IS BEING RECALLED?
- Six styles of Thomas’ Bagels (numbered below) with “Best By” dates that range January 18-27. “Best By” dates are found on the lock tab bag closure.
1. Thomas’ 6pk Everything Bagel
2. Thomas’ 6pk Blueberry Bagel
3. Thomas’ 6pk Onion Bagel
4. Thomas’ 6pk Plain Bagel
5. Thomas’ 6pk Cinnamon Bagel
6. Thomas’ 6pk Hearty Grain Bagel
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF YOU HAVE THE RECALLED PRODUCT?
Do not consume the product and discard it; please do not return the bagels to the Club. For a full refund, you may visit your local BJ’s Club where you purchased the bagels. If you have your receipt, bring it with you. If you don’t have your receipt, the Club can look it up for you.
