GoldCoast Salads Issues Voluntary Recall For Blue Crab Spread and Maine Lobster Spread

BJ’s Wholesale Club has been informed by GoldCoast Salads, a Naples Florida firm, that it is voluntarily recalling Blue Crab Spread and Maine Lobster Spread because they may be contaminated with Listeria.  The product was sold by BJ’s and other national retailers.  Please review the recall alert issued by GoldCoast Salads in conjunction with the FDA here:  http://www.goldcoastsalads.com/Recall.pdf

Products being recalled that were sold at BJ’s include:

•    Gold Coast Blue Crab Spread (16 oz) with UPC #8-33555-00125-9 and an expiration date of 2/14/13

•    Gold Coast Maine Lobster Spread (16 oz) with UPC #8-33555-00124-2 and an expiration date of 2/16/13

What should you do if you have the recalled product?

If you have the product, do not eat it.  GoldCoast’s press release is asking people to return product back to where they purchased it.  Contrary to GoldCoast, BJ’s is asking Members to discard the product.  You can return your receipt to the club for a full refund.  If you do not have your receipt, the club at which you purchased the product can look it up for you.
