Primepak Announces Market Withdrawal Of Harvestland Ready To Cook Parmesan Chicken Strips (Best If Used By December 9, 2014)

Prime Pak Foods, a co-packer for Harvestland, is issuing a stop sale and market withdrawal of Harvestland Ready-to-Cook Parmesan Chicken Strips due to a packaging and labeling error. Some boxes of Harvestland Parmesan Chicken Strips may instead contain Harvestland Coconut Chicken Strips, which contain coconut. The inner bag of the chicken strips should be clearly labeled with the appropriate allergen information (Dairy, Wheat, and Nut) but the outer box containing the inner bag may be incorrectly labeled (Dairy and Wheat). The withdrawal is limited to Harvestland Parmesan Chicken Strips with the “Best If Used By December 09, 2014” date, found on the end of the package.

To date, no illnesses or injuries have been reported in connection with this market withdrawal. The Harvestland Coconut Chicken Strips contain coconut, an allergen identified as a nut allergen that is not found in the Harvestland Parmesan Chicken Strips. For more information call Harvestland Consumer Affairs whose contact information is listed below.
