BJs Wholesale Club Introduces New Pick Up & Pay Service
Convenience of Items Hand Picked by BJ’s Team Members and Easily Picked Up by Shoppers
Westborough, Mass. (April 20, 2016) – BJ’s Wholesale Club announces today that Members now have the option to “pick up and pay” at all of its 213 locations along the east coast. Stock up on seasonal necessities, set aside the best new electronics and tech accessories, or save the trouble of moving large, bulky items around the Club – this new service is aimed at Members who prefer to shop online, but favor the convenience and immediacy of in-Club pick up.
In fact, in its annual year-end survey, the National Retail Federation found that while 86 percent of online shoppers find free shipping important, a significant 66 percent want the option of picking up their purchase at an actual store.
“We are offering our Members total freedom of choice regarding how they shop at BJ’s Wholesale Club,” said Bari Harlam, executive vice president of marketing and membership for BJ’s Wholesale Club. ”Our new Pick Up & Pay option is another benefit of a BJ’s membership. This new service combines the at-home convenience of online shopping, including guaranteed product availability and our affordable pricing, without the wait for shipping and delivery.”
How it works:
- Members sign into BJs.com, select their local Club and reserve items.
- A BJ’s Team Member will hand pick the items and place them in a cart ready to be picked up and paid for at BJ’s Member Services Desk.
- Once the order is ready, the Member will receive a confirmation email. Orders placed before 1PM can be picked up the same day!
- Members visit their local Club, pick up the items and pay.
Going directly to the Club for Pick Up & Pay items, Members have the opportunity to shop for additional items not part of their online order, from fresh produce to USDA Choice meats, and take advantage of in-Club promotions. Non-members can enjoy this convenient service by signing up for a Free 90-Day Membership or $40 Membership offer available now through July 3, 2016.
