Red-Eye Barbecue Chicken Wings

Chicken wings cooked in red-eye barbecue sauce results in a spicy, smokey dish that gets finished as soon as it comes on the plate.

Stir all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium-high

Bring to simmer, then reduce the heat to low

Simmer 25 to 30 min

Set aside to cool to room temperature

Preheat grill to medium

Season the wing sections with salt and pepper

Grill covered, if using gas grill, turning occasionally, until wings sections reach 165,° about 20 to 25 min

Toss with about one cup of sauce. Serve hot with blue cheese reserved sauce, dressing and celery, if desired
