I bought two 8'x4' units, and put them together myself (for reference, I am a 5' 4" 125 lb woman.) It took me nearly 3 hours to do the 1st shelf, but I managed to lift/assemble the 8' section by tying a length of baling twine, then ran it through a higher hole, and then used that to hold one end of the long section while I fastened the other. I also bought the extra/optional hooks-- all of our bikes are up off of the floor! Love these racks, they are sturdy, simple, and I would definitely buy again.

We used these in our garage. We are very fortunate that in south Florida we have an attic but we have a lot of hobbies and stuff we need without going into the attic. I wanted everything up off the floor and out of the way so we could walk around my garage kept SUV. I have wanted these for some time and finally caught them on sale and talked my husband into it. These were pretty easy to install and they are sturdy. They are heavy and two people is good to have :)
