This is well built well designed bird feeder that takes a pic of the bird when it lands to feed and sends the pic to my smartphone. It was easy to assemble, basically already assembled with just a couple of things to do when taken out of the box. Solar powered it looks good attached to the fence at the end of my patio.

I have had birdcan envy for a couple of years now and this purchase has made bird nerds out of me and my husband. Great packaging and easy to install. We watch all day!

The set up instructions were very easy to follow & I was up & running in no time.

Product broken in the box. When I contacted BJs, they said contract manufacturer. When they were contacted, manufacturer refused to pay to replace parts broken or the unit. Item bought 3 days before we contacted bjs and manufacturer.

Love it! Get notifications throughout the day when birds or squirrels (lol) are visiting!

This thing is really cool! The camera is super clear and supplies both video and stills. Does come with the lifetime cloud storage, but you do need to by the AI detection to have it list the bird species. You get a huge discount if you choose to do a lifetime subscription on that as well. Feeder seems to be made well and fits great on the 4"x4" post we put in for it. Would have mounted on a tree or house, but we wanted to have it on it's own post. Plan to buy another for my Mom for her to enjoy, I may even put in a post for her too.

Things I like: the camera is easy to install, instructions on the app are very user-friendly, the wood frame is classy, and the feeder holds a good amount of seed. The solar panel works well, and all I had to do was plug the camera into a usb-c cord. Things that could be improved: the instruction manual says to seal the wood frame before using the feeder, but it does not specify what you should use (I ended up using the same kind of sealant I use on my wood fence), I was disappointed to see that the AI-technology that identifies the birds for you costs money to use (I was given a 7-day free trial, and life-time purchase is both on sale and considerably worth it if you want to use the technology after 2 years) Things to consider: make sure the camera is close enough to your wifi router to access it, the camera cannot use 5 GHz wifi, it will only work if you have wifi on the 2.4 GHz band, and this not a feeder you should hang from a shepherd's hook or a tree branch, but you should attach the feeder to something stationary like a post secured in the ground (which is what Birdify recommends, and they send equipment for you to do this, too).

This feeder is incredibly well built and the quality of materials seems like it'll last a very long time. Camera feed quality is also very good. I like the fact that it has a solar panel to ensure continued charging. Adding account access was easy to receive AI identification.

Overall I am happy with yhe Birdfy Smart Bird Feeder Ebony with Camera and Solar Panel. The camera quality is impressive, and it's been so fun receiving notifications and seeing close-up videos of the birds visiting our yard. The solar panel is a great feature and keeps it charged without needing to constantly plug it in. The only downside was the initial setup. I had some difficulty pairing it with my WiFi, and it took a few attempts before it finally connected. Once it was up and running, though, it has worked well. I would definitely recommend this bird feeder!
