El Almendro Marzipan Turron is a delicious recipe of the Almond Confectionery. El Almendro has been an expert turron-maker since 1883. The products are made from carefully-selected premium ingredients to offer outstanding quality. Master turron-makers still produce these in the traditional way. The traditional recipe consists of mixing equal amounts of almonds and sugar. First, the raw almonds are submerged is water to obtain softness and consistency, then the almonds are mixed with sugar and ground into a coarse meal. Afterwards, the paste is refined using granite millstones and the egg yolk is added. Finally the product is placed into molds and slightly toasted finishing with the touch of burning the sugar on both sides giving the characteristic color and flavor .These delicious products are perfect for sharing with the whole family and will delight true turron lovers.
