Pretty Good Buy
I purchased to cool down my attic. This is perfect for my small windows. Took me two weeks to install because it was so hot then we had a storm that knocked out the electrical for a couple days lol! Anywho finally had a chance to use it and it cooled off the attic in about 30 minutes and kept it v...

Didn't fit my window frames
It was a disappointment to open the box, remove the contents then discover that my older (60 years) window frames were too thick to fit within the one inch allowed by the air conditioner framing. I had to put everything back in the box and bring it back to BJs for a refund. I did find a bigger comp...
Customers say
Overall sentiment is mostly positive, with many reviewers praising fast cooling for small rooms, easy installation, and useful modes like timer/auto and energy saving. The main recurring issues are remote/control reliability and occasional performance problems (slow to cool, turning off unexpectedly, not cooling enough, and some noise).

Comments about Midea 5,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner
We were looking for an air conditioner that we could pick up that day.... ours had died and we were in the middle of one of many heatwaves. This Midea was available at the BJ's near us, and had so many positive reviews. Despite being a brand we were not familiar with, we decided to give it a try. We are SO VERY PLEASED with it! If the rest of the Midea products are like this A/C, sign me up!

Comments about Midea 5,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner
We purchased this because our old one stopped working. The compressor burned out. It was well worth the price. To date, it performs a lot better than my old window A/C unit ever did!
Worth it
