I would buy this product agan and agan
We actually purchased this patio mate 8 summers ago. We couldn't use our deck until really late in the day because it was too hot... and then we had to share the deck with bugs, spiders, etc. Now we can use the deck all day long without bugs, sun, or rain. We love it! Everybody has complimented us o...

DON'T DO IT
If you are thinking about buying this, I'm telling you don't do it. I have had mine for 3 years now. We liked ours at first also. Every year it gets worse. The top shrinks every year more and more. After the first year the top no longer fit correctly. After the second year the top is even wors...

Overall sentiment is mostly positive, with many reviewers praising the screen room as a good-value way to add outdoor living space and keep bugs out, especially when seams are sealed. At the same time, a recurring drawback is roof performance—some users report leaks and/or roof shrinking over time, particularly after weather exposure, making it less reliable as a rain-ready or long-lasting structure.

We used this product at our summer camp already up and looks amazing great product great quality too.
Ugh but those instructions!!!!!!!
Once it's up it's a nice addition. Do yourself a favor and hire someone. Whoever wrote the instructions may have been intoxicated. I'm not 100% sure about that but at least it would offer an excuse! Also the hardware isn't properly marked and one bag contained things that weren't mentioned once in that drunken manual. Somewhere someone is cursing trying to find these items. If you can get past all that, go for it.

Great screen room for the money. Well made.
We have used this for 2 seasons now. It took a while to put up the first time, the instructions are not bad, just not clear. They are hard to follow, it just assumes you can attach it directly to the side of your house with screws etc. Ok for some siding not a great idea for houses with vinyl siding. Overall, we love it. Yes, it does leak when it rains (I have not yet sealed the seams) but we don't really use it in the rain anyway. We have it attached to the house over our sliding door, it essentially adds a room to our back deck. It's in direct sun all day for us so it does get toasty if there is no breeze. We have an extremely buggy back yard and this makes it so we can still enjoy the evenings outside. I'd recommend it as long as you have reasonable expectations. Remember, it's essentially a tent you are adding to your house. It's not going to be as good as a permanent screen room but it's also about 1/4 the cost. If you live somewhere where it snows you'll want to take this down early, it's not going to survive the heavy wet snow you get in the early spring or late fall. Here in Maine we put it up last week of May take it down last week of October.
Totally destroyed, first snowfall in early November WNY
Took me about 10 hours with 2 people setting it up. Roof leaked everywhere for entire summer, tons of leaks and they never stopped leaking! Pretty psyched to have set up on our back deck, but could not believe we had an early snowfall in early November and it destroyed the roof, metal bars, metal screens, just an absolute nightmare, especially after spending all that $$ just 6 months ago! We cant seem to get ANY returned phone calls from where we bought it and we can't find ANY info on the internet as where to contact Patio-Mate, or even find out where they are manufactured!!
Do NOT buy this!!!!

It leaks since day one--even after caulking seams. After calling the company (not BJ's problem) they do NOT stand by their product. We will be contacting the better business bureau and contacting a lawyer! if the company is reading this... YOU SHOULD RETURN CUSTOMERS' CALLS !!!
Great Screen Room

We use it as a Florida room and it gives us many hours of enjoyment with out bugs. It took us about four hours to set up
Not made for camping decks or freeze and thaw locations
This roof is so tight that there is no room for shrinking. If the roof had some play for shrinking later it would probably be good. tons of pin holes and reading others they have the same problem. We installed ours in Wisconsin and with the freeze and thaw cycle, it doesn't fit nearly as well as the lst couple of years.
