Ruffino Riserva Ducale Oro Chianti Classico Red Wine is a fine wine blend that is the ultimate expression of the Chianti Classico winemaking region. The first vintage of Riserva Ducale Oro dates back to 1947. This full-bodied Chianti wine opens with intense aromas of cherry, plum, and violet, with hints of eucalyptus, chocolate, and black pepper. The finish reveals pleasing sensations of tobacco and hints of plum and balsamic notes. Riserva Ducale Oro is made with carefully selected grapes that are fermented and macerated in stainless steel vats. The wine is then aged for 12 months in concrete vats, followed by 12 more months in second-use barrels, and finally 12 additional months in large Slavonian oak casks. This bottled wine will age gracefully for decades. For the best flavor, store at room temperature, and then serve slightly chilled.
