Something seems different in recent batches
We've purchased this jasmine rice from BJ's for years and it has always cooked well in our rice cooker without any problems. Customers say
Overall sentiment is mostly positive, with many reviewers describing this jasmine rice as fragrant, easy to cook, and consistent, especially for everyday meals and a good mix of textures. A noticeable minority report quality problems—off odors (sometimes described as chemical/musty or moldy), odd textures (sticky/mushy or hard film), and occasional visual contaminants—that lead some to stop buying or return the product.

I like the way this cooks and certainly the taste. It compliments everyday Texas meals like chicken fried steak with cream gravy and Asian dishes. Bag was well sealed which is important because not always the case. Will buy again.
