Works Well
It sharpened my pencils very quickly. I like the way it leaves no messy pencil shavings all over the place. It Also like that it is smaller and doesn't take up alot of space. All of my pencils were sharpened very well. I have the X-ACTO 1818 XLR ELEC SHARPR N and its the best.

Nice sharpener
This X-ACTO - X-ACTO 1818 XLR ELEC SHARPENER is good. Works well. Easy for my children to use. Functions nicely. Nice size for easy storage. Doesn't take a lot of space. Sharpens very well. I would recommend this.
Customers say
Overall sentiment is strongly positive, with reviewers consistently praising fast, even sharpening and a strong ability to handle high volumes without jamming or breaking pencil lead. The main minor drawbacks mentioned are limited compatibility for larger pencil sizes and a bin door that can be a bit stiff to open for emptying shavings.

So far, so good!
Using in my middle school classroom, where we use regular and color pencils daily, every period. It's quiet, holds a lot of shavings, and has been working well since purchased (about 2 months so far). Kids are impressed with the ease of use, sharpness of the pencil it provides, and how quickly it works. They even sometimes come in from other classes to use it. The sharpeners our school has been providing usually quit on us at this point, but this one seems to still be in good shape. It's easy to empty & clean out, and has been working well for both color & no. 2 pencils.

As a former educator I can say this sharpener is one of the best I have ever use. It is fast, stops once pencil is sharpened and sharpens the pencil to perfection. I wish I had this sharpener in my classroom when I was teaching.

I was in the market for an electric pencil sharpener because I only ever had a small handheld one and it wasn't ever good. I was impressed by how well this worked. The one pencil I always had issues sharpening came out looking amazing with a decent sharp tip. Now when my husband or daughter asks for a sharpener, I know I'll have a good one on hand for them to use.
It does the work

This sharpener sharps the pencil tip really well without chewing the wood. I am happy that the tip is straight without any curve. The device is also quiet with no weird sound. I think it is a good and affordable sharpener.
