Compare to the active ingredient of Prevacid 24 HR. Frequent heartburn can occur anytime during the 24-hour period (day or night). Take Lansoprazole Delayed-Release Capsules 15mg in the morning before eating. The active ingredient, lansoprazole 15mg, is clinically proven to treat frequent heartburn. Follow a 14-day course of treatment for frequent heartburn. Not intended for immediate relief of heartburn, this drug may take one to four days for full effect. Heartburn is a painful, burning sensation in the lower chest or throat that occurs when stomach acid backs up. The active ingredient, lansoprazole 15mg, reduces heartburn by decreasing the amount of acid produced in the stomach.

Frequent heartburn relief: Some people get complete relief within 24 hours, and it may take one to four days for full effect. Take every day for 14 days to treat frequent heartburn (two or more days a week)
Proton pump inhibitor: Stops acid production at the source - the pumps that release acid into the stomach. PPIs are the number one recommended type of over-the-counter acid reducer (of U.S. physicians surveyed by an independent market research firm)
