HTH Multi-Purpose 6-Way Test Strips
I used the 6-Way Test Strips on my 30,000-gallon swimming pool. I followed the instructions and placed the Test Strip into 18" of water and held it for 2 seconds. I immediately took a picture of the strip and text it to HTH Test Strips. Within a couple of minutes, I received a detailed report ide...

Invalid Recipient
When I put in HTH 1 2 3 into my messages recipient box it tells me it's an invalid recipient and I cannot send my picture of my test strip to that recipient. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what's going on anybody have any guesses
Customers say
Overall sentiment is mostly positive, with many reviewers praising how easy the strips are to use and read, and especially the text-based guidance that helps them balance pool chemistry quickly. However, a recurring set of complaints points to inconsistent or inaccurate readings (especially free chlorine), hard-to-see/less-uniform color indicators, and frequent issues getting reliable responses from the texting/photo feature.

Hard to see
It is hard to see the colors, the color is not detailed enough, it's slow to react and it is a bad quality product. Sorry, I will go back using other brands.
Not the same product as they used to have.
Every year I purchase my pool test strips here but now (may 2026) they've switched them. Instead of the pink color for chlorine it is now a purplish color that you can hardly see.
Trustwoerthy HTH

I test my pool water every 4 days and these HTH 6 way test strips are invaluable. They rank among the best test strips I have ever used and are the most reliable choice I have found.

Purchased 2 months ago. The free chlorine indicator repeatedly keeps reading at a color of white. First time this happened I took water sample to local pool supply company for analysis and was told my free chlorine was a bit high. These strips are supposed to be an indictor of which chemicals to add to keep pool water balanced. If I had followed the color on the test strip it would have really unbalanced my pool water. These strips are useless. Will go back to purchasing strips from my pool supply company which were always accurate.
I liked the old blue kit better

The colors on the strips are not as good as the original blue packaging. I find that the pads on the strips are not uniform in color therefore it's very difficult to read the strips. I will have to try a different company Because these are no good

I've been having a hard time getting the cloudiness out of the pool and these faulty test strips were the culprit. Confirmed it today when I did one test strip and texted it and then did another one an hour later without making any chemical changes. The results and recommendations they gave were completely different. Now I've wasted tons of money on products and my water is still cloudy.
Cannot get it to work

I have took the picture and texted it to the number. They sent it back needing the size and amount of water so I sent that information. I kept on getting the same reply. So I took the pic and sent all information along with it and keep getting the same response. I must be doing something wrong but have been following the instructions
