Product Overview
Details
The Learning Resources STEM Explores Magnetworks kit is a 46 pc. science set designed to make magnetism fun, safe, and hands-on for kids ages 5–8. With a colorful 20-page activity guide and 14 engaging experiments, children can explore magnetic force by making a car move without touching it, spinning a pinwheel, levitating discs, and more. The open-ended design encourages creativity and problem-solving, making it ideal for both solo play and small group activities.
While the kit includes one magnetic wand, it’s well-suited for 1–3 children to use together—whether they take turns, collaborate on experiments, or explore different activities in parallel. Teachers and parents will appreciate the classroom-friendly layout, which supports science centers, homeschool lessons, and hands-on demos. The experiments are varied enough to appeal to different age groups, with younger kids benefiting from adult guidance and older kids enjoying independent discovery.
The components are made from durable, wipe-clean plastic and include magnetic discs, chips, a wand, a magnetic ball, and more. Some reviewers noted that the pinwheel can be tricky to spin and maze stickers are single-use, but these challenges offer opportunities for creative problem-solving. The strong magnets require finesse, helping kids learn how positioning affects magnetic force.
Whether used at home or in a classroom, Magnetworks is a screen-free, battery-free way to nurture curiosity and introduce STEM concepts through play. It’s more than a toy—it’s a launchpad for learning.
