I was heading to BJ's to get gas and literally ran out of gas in the BJ's parking lot, roughly 700 yards away from the gas station. Most Liked Negative Review

    Requires modifications

Off the shelf these cans leak and it's the EPAs fault for trying to add safety and spill preventative features to gas cans. Modifications can be easily made to make these cans work. 1. Remove the strainer/ filter as it causes gas to splash out when filling the can and slows down fill ups. The filter...

    Customers say

Overall sentiment is mostly positive, with many reviewers saying the can holds fuel well and is a solid, portable option for generators, lawn equipment, and emergencies—especially at its price. That said, a recurring downside is the safety/spout design: multiple reviews cite leaking at the nozzle/spout, hard-to-use or overly restrictive internal filters, slow or difficult filling (sometimes requiring funnels or modifications), and a few failures/broken spouts.

Comments about Midwest Can 5-Gal. Gas Can

I was heading to BJ's to get gas and literally ran out of gas in the BJ's parking lot, roughly 700 yards away from the gas station. I had no choice but to pivot and figure out how I was going to get enough gas into my car to make it the rest of the way. I crossed my fingers and hoped BJ's actually sold gas cans and thankfully, you all did. I went inside, purchased a gas can, walked over to the gas station, filled it up, and made the walk back to my car. After putting enough gas in the tank to get the car started, I was finally able to drive those last 700 yards to the pumps and fill up normally. What could have turned into a much bigger headache ended up being a pretty easy problem to solve because BJ's had exactly what I needed, right when I needed it.

This gas can was affordable and served its purpose. I needed to transport gas and it didn't leak. I would definitely purchase this gas can again if they get them in stock again.

This is a standard five gallon gas can; I have not used it yet. If you need a gas can, this is a good option, it is very solid. I did a price comparison and it was cheaper than other stores. #sweepstakes

I recently purchased a riding lawnmower. I already had a 2 gallon one but had to keep getting gas. Now I can fill both and sane trips to the pumps.

I love these cans, way better than the Specter cans durability wise, the biggest complaint is the included spout, bought replacements online that come with vents. Now perfect.
