Cooked one the next day after purchase and froze the other. The first one turned green overnight in the fridge. The second one thawed fine. It looked and smelled fine, but once it was cooking it smelled rank. Still looked fine when it was done cooking but still smelled off and tasted off. Threw it away. Waste of money.

I have always had good experiences with Pre Halal steaks from BJ's. I bought two packages each with two steaks. Both packages were awful…they were well within the date, kept refrigerated the entire time. The smell was awful…had to be thrown away. Almost $60 worth of steak wasted. I have never written a bad review before this time.

inconsistent size and quality
The first 2 times I purchased these two pack Ribeyes they were of decent size for the money with minimal fat and were very tender like a filet mignon. The next 2 times I purchased these steaks they were much smaller, and loaded with fat. By the time I trimmed off the fat that was unchewable there was barely any steak left to eat, and the steak that was eatable was not tender at all. I'm done, I will not purchase again, too much money wasted in second and third chances.

I try to buy only grass fed and grass finished beef because I am concerned about the quality and safety of our food chain. It is difficult to find and is usually priced outrageously high. When I found this product at BJs I was delighted.
