Canola Oil is a popular oil that is derived from the seeds of the Canola plant, a variety of the rapeseed plant that was developed in Canada. This oil is low in saturated fat (7%) which is lower than many other cooking oil. Also rich in unsaturated fats and is high in monounsaturated fats (about 63%) and polyunsaturated fats (about 28%) including omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Canola Oil is also a good source of vitamins E and K. High smoke point (about 400 degrees) and has a neutral flavor making it versatile for different cuisines and recipes.
