Despite all the fancy food I enjoyed, my favorite food was mom’s home cooking and I often looked forward to an after school snack of steamed buns or a giant plate of dumplings. Dumplings became the essential comfort food of my childhood. I have since founded Dumpling Daughter, which serves many of my family’s most authentic time-tested dishes. Today, we are making people happy - one dumpling at a time. Our Pork and Chive dumplings hold a special place in my heart. These bring me right back to Grandma's house. Grandma was from Harbin, China and made dumplings in the true northern Chinese style. The aromatic chives would fill the house with an enticing scent that got us all excited for dinner. I love them boiled so you can fully enjoy the flavor of the chive but pan-searing until crispy is very tasty too!"
